Living Arrows 5/52

Living Arrows

I am taking part in Donna from What the Redhead Said‘s Living Arrows – which is a celebration of childhood!

We could all do with a little more celebration in our lives!

To quote Donna, “The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.”

Week 5/52 Living Arrows

Always there for you, little one

Rightly or wrongly I let RLT co-sleep when he wakes on a morning. When he was a newborn, he held a finger while he was sleeping, which was incredibly cute. As a routine established and he was able to get himself to sleep, this didn’t happen so often.

I wasn’t feeling very well last week, so during afternoon naptime, we both went to lie down. He held my hand as he was falling asleep. This made me so happy! I’m very anxious about returning to work in the next few weeks, I won’t be there for him 4 out of 7 days during the week now and I don’t know to let him know that he will always come first. I’d like to think that he knew that I needed this!

Of course he will know – you’re his number one fan! Plus it’s good for him to see you working I think. Love this photo, it’s a moment to cherish, especially cos you just don’t know when will be the last time these days!!

It’s so lovely that he held your hand. It’s not that you won’t be there for him when you go back to work, you’ll just be providing in a different way, just not physically at that point. You’ll all get used to your new routine and I hope it all goes smoothly x

Oh this is such a sweet picture. Going back to work is hard but our kids always know they come first I think. And I wouldn’t worry about the co-sleeping if it works for you – Gabe ends up in bed with us at some point virtually every night! #LivingArrows
