Living Arrows 16/52

Living Arrows

I am taking part in Donna from What the Redhead Said‘s Living Arrows – which is a celebration of childhood!

We could all do with a little more celebration in our lives!

To quote Donna, “The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.”

Week 16/52 Living Arrows

First trip to the beach!

OK so it wasn’t exactly beach weather on Good Friday, but we took a trip up the coast to South Shields to see some friends. They have the most amazing view of the sea from their house, it would have been a shame not to give R his first experience of real sand, thankfully the North Sea winds were kind to us, which is rare in the North East.

Having tackled crawling last week, it was great to give him some space to explore and a different texture beneath him. He had a very long afternoon nap too, sea air is great for that!

That looks like a perfect beach to practice crawling on, we’re surrounded by pebble beaches. There’s less mess to drag home but they’re not very baby friendly!! Sounds like a perfect Good Friday x

We had a visit to the beach last week too – at my son’s request for his birthday! There’s nothing like feeling the sand between your toes – and that first trip to the beach is always amazing to see their little faces! #livingarrows

Awww how cute is this?! We’ve not done this yet as Henry’s trips to the coast so far have been a little too cold but we have a holiday to the South of France in a few weeks so am looking forward to him having a go!! #livingarrows

What a lovely scene. I bet your little boy had a great time exploring the sand, especially now that he is on the move.

Awww so cute! Those tiny toes touching the sand! Lovely capture & nice to hear that you were able to get out inspite of the weather. #livingarrows

I’m all up for long naps! Maybe I should take Kipper to the sea this week. Hope the sun makes an appearance next time x #LivingArrows
